Simply open the door with your room card | make your favorite selection | fill out a slip of paper | drop it in the mailbox and pay when you check out.
A tradition from East Berlin
The Späti has a long history dating back to East Berlin in the 1950s. There, the DDR government opened so-called late-night outlets to ensure that shift workers could stock up on bread and cigarettes when they left the factory. This tradition has survived to this day and has become an integral part of urban life.
