Hamburg is celebrating the 836th birthday of its port - and invites you to the world's largest port festival from 9 to 11 May 2025. For three days, you can expect maritime flair, impressive ships and a varied programme along the Elbe.
Entry parade (Friday, 13:00)
Majestic tall ships, imposing steamships and chic naval cutters roll out the (water) carpet. Welcome to Hamburg!
Tugboat ballet (Saturday, 03:45 pm)
Those who find normal dance performances too boring should watch giant tugboats pirouetting on the Elbe. A real harbour ballet - only with more horsepower!
Fireworks (Saturday, 10:45 pm)
When the sky over the Elbe explodes into a sea of colour, everyone knows: Hamburg can party! Romantic factor? 10/10
Run-out parade (Sunday, 06:00 pm)
Finally, the boats say goodbye - but don't worry, they'll be back next year!
